Today was a sad day for me. I was very excited to be resort certified for scuba diving but unfortunately I became a scuba reject. We were signed up for lessons from 9-12 p.m. and then a dive at 2:00 p.m. The instructor’s name was Mitch. He was our dive-master. Mitch made us do the first test which was 10 minutes in the pool treading water. We (Tony and I) both passed. Then it was teaching time in the classroom for some hand signals and different rules, passed that fine. Next was the learning the equipment portion of the lesson, passed that too. Then it was the part where we got into the pool and had to go down and breathe through the regulator. That was the weirdest thing in the world but with much hesitation I was able to pass that part too.

Next was the removing water from the mask part. I observed Mitch. Went down and could not accomplish the task. Anxiety began to build after numerous attempts since I felt that I was being rushed and I felt that I was also holding back the people from learning the rest of the skills needed to make the dive at 2:00 p.m. So to make a sad story short I had to quit. I HATE TOO QUIT! But I am determined that I will try again under less pressure in Salt Lake City. But a bad day at Beaches Turks and Caicos is better than any day at work.

After being sad for part of the day we picked up the kids early and headed to the slides. Below are pictures of us on Pirate’s Island coming down one of the slides and enjoying the bar.
This is Tony.

This is Nicholas.

This is Anastasia.

These pictures are of us at the Riviera Pool in the French Village having fun.

The kids met up with some characters.

These pictures are of us in the Cascades Pool. The Cascades Pool is the pool that you see from our balcony.

That night Tony and I had dinner at Le Petite Château. It is an adult’s only restaurant. The kid’s went to kid’s camp and saw The Bee Movie at Bobby Dee’s.

Below you will notice some pictures of the view outside our suite. This is the living room balcony view.

This is the view from the bedroom balcony.

We also made the concierge snorkel boat this morning.

We were taken to Parrot-Fish Cove. It was beautiful. The fish were huge!

We were also lucky enough to see a sand shark that was just kicking back in the reef. He apparently makes this his home. He became offended though and left the area after a couple of snorkelers came around. It was amazing though to be so close to a shark without having plexi-glass between us.

To our great surprise we were blessed with seeing another sea turtle. We have seen so many beautiful sea life here more than in Negril.

In kid's camp Anstasia went to the surf pool. Here she is on the board. Not as easy as it looks. This was her first time and she was a natural.

Since we won the 20% off facial on the concierge’s cruise we decided to take advantage of the day and do it then. Dana in Salt Lake City gives much better facials than this one but at least it was nice and relaxing. The above picture is of all of us in front of the fountain in front of the French village after our facial, don't we look rejuvenated. We had the Soon Come Back Beach Party tonight. Tony was really looking forward to eating authentic Jamaican Meat Patties and Jerk Chicken. To once again much disappointment the Jerk chicken tasted like BBQ Chicken and the Meat Patties were as dry as toast.

The kids insisted that they wanted to go to kid’s camp because they wanted to dance on top of the big pirate ship on pirate’s island. The pictures below are of the kids on top of the boat.

Today was a nice and relaxing day at Beaches Turks and Caicos. We finally learned that the kids could care less about a big breakfast they prefer to drink juice from the room and eat a pastry from the lobby. We dropped them off in time to get them to the beach for them to enjoy water sports at the beach. They rode the Hobby Cats and built sand castles but the waves destroyed it. They played sponges games and had a water fight at the end of the time. The kids played at the beach again after lunch. They tried catching fish but were not successful in their endeavors. The next activity was pool volleyball. They always have so much fun in kid's camp.
Tony and I had breakfast and then we ventured towards water aerobics. Tony was uckered into joining a tug-o-war contest. His team won. Yeay!
After that we headed to the beach to ride on the Hobby Cat.
We once again reserved the equipment and swam to the small reef in front of the resort. The nice thing about this resort and this country is that you can embark on out in the water and begin seeing a marine life immediately.
Later we decide that since we had not seen the Italian Village Pool we would spent the rest of the afternoon there. It was beautiful as the buildings that surround it. I ordered a Cosmo and an Appletini and they were pretty strong. I had not eaten anything since breakfast and became very dehydrated. Tony suggested that we get some food from and Irish pub close to the pool. I began getting light headed. I ordered a salad and some soup and once again the food did not disappoint (mediocre-the salad was o.k. but the asparagus cream soup was very bland almost hospital-like). After the late lunch we went to the room to change for the Concierge Cruise that was occurring from 4-5 p.m. It was really hot according to the weather.com it was 90°F yet it feels like 99°F because of the 62 % humidity. It is HOT! So to put it mildly I almost fainted on the way to the room. But I was in safe hands since my husband was able to take care of me. After a shower I felt 100% better.
Oh before I forget the room was decorated so pretty from housekeeping. Above is the picture of our bed and the towels. We really enjoyed our couple time.
While Nicholas enjoyed getting in touch with his inner Rastafarian.
We went to the cruise and it was nice since I won a 20% off coupon to the spa for a facial.
When we picked up the kids they were not too happy since they wanted to play longer in the pool with the nanny that concierges had set-up. When they got back to the room they changed and headed back to kids camp for the night so that Tony and I can enjoy a candle light dinner on the beach.

We had a romantic night tonight watching the sunset while taking pleasure in the finest view of the beach. But the best was the company I enjoyed which was my wonderful and romantic husband. We even danced to Slave to Love (our wedding song) on the beach. Oh how sweet and mushy just the way I love it. BTW this is the best restaurant thus far, the food was delicious but what do you expect when you are paying an additional $170.00 for the candlelight dinner on the beach. Well worth it though.
When we finished our dinner and went to pick up the kids from camp. Unfortunately we came to find out that Anastasia left her camera (yes, the Pentax that Ah-Goon gave her) in one of the restaurants so after checking with the front desk and the camp the camera is missing, lost, or stolen. Well I guess our luck has run out. Hopefully someone will turn it in during our stay but I doubt it.
